Thorwald Dragon
Native to the planet Thorwald (Arcturus Subsector, Solomani Rim) it is a large, armored, omnivorous, reptilian hunter. It's formal name, Draconia Electrus, comes from the fact that it is able to withstand it's home planet's violent electrical storms and frequent lightning strikes. It's normal life span is 95-180 years [to determine age of animal use base of 75 + (2D6 x 10)].

Because Thorwald Dragons are considered the ultimate in hunting dangerous game, they have been exported to private hunting reserves on numerous worlds in both the Solomani Rim and Spinward Marches.

Verbil

These are mostly harmless if somewhat annoying creatures, known to roam starports in the Spinward Marches. They are fur bearing mammals, walk upright, are approximately 1.5 meters tall and have the approximate intelligence of a four year old human. They frequently travel in family groups that range from 5 to 20 individuals. In addition to their fur, they also grow a short coat of different colored fur over their torso area that resembles a t-shirt. Missionaries first contacting the Verbils discovered that the Verbils can voluntarily change this coat to various patterns to better fit in with their surroundings. Thus Verbils are frequently seen wearing what appears to be a t-shirt that says "Verbils for Christ". Verbils now subsist principally by begging in starports, particularly outside restaurants. Most restaurants will feed them in order to get them to leave without accosting potential patrons. They are known for their repetitive "chants" and imitation of common noises. They are nonviolent but will defend themselves if attacked.
